![]() There are a couple characters who have to be unlocked via microtransaction, but they're far from gamebreaking, and otherwise perform exactly like anyone else. ![]() The in-game currency is easily farmable (even literally, you can actually grow trees which give you a very sizeable daily income, along with plenty of other things in the garden), and is used to unlock characters and upgrade them. It's a free game - and offers an insane amount of content considering it. It's a game that, in my opinion, does the idea of microtransactions properly. A mix of Enter the Gungeon and Binding of Isaac, you have extensive random-gen dungeons filled with swords, guns, magical staves, and so much more! It also features a very extensive cast of characters. This one is a game I love playing even at home. You can construct a winding maze, long paths, big loops, or just arbitrarily place tower and path tiles down as you go! It keeps runs feeling fresh and interesting, with many many unlocks to add lots of flavor to your run. Now what really makes this interesting, is that you get to not only place towers anywhere you like, you also get to build the track. Every turn you can draw cards that give you new cards. You start with a very small path with 1 basic tower on an island made of tiles. It's a wonderful spin on the tower defense genre with the unique way it's levels work. This is a game I discovered several months back and fell in love with. ![]() It's a pioneer of the Tower Defense genre, and has more than enough content to set it apart. You can pick it up for 5 minutes or a couple hours, either way it's a tried and true great way to pass the time. Place monkeys, pop balloons, experiment with various combinations of towers, heroes, powers, and enjoy the variety of boss fights and weekly events. We're going to start with some of my personal favs: Quick disclaimer: Many of the games on this list might cost a couple dollars. Let's break it down from the top, in no particular order. And the only reason they can is because nobody bothers to make quality games for mobile nowadays. Currency 3 can only be acquired through real money, or you can grind for absurdly tiny amounts every event that happens occasionally. If you get tired of watching ads, you can always pay to remove them, or spend Generic Currency 3™ to unlock Currencies 1 and 2. BTW if you choose not to watch an ad.You're gonna watch an ad. The gameplay will be missing a key component that terribly slows the game down (having less 3 of hearts for example) which you can compensate by spending Generic Currency 1™.or.you could just watch a few ads.Įvery 8 card moves or everytime you finish a suit, you get a prize, which is a disappointing amount of Generic Currency 2™! You can watch an ad to win double that which would make it less disappointing or not. The problem is that, as all mobile games of this generation:Įvery card move will require some energy that you get +1/20 min. Playing Solitaire while helping the girl with her life is a nice story twist to a well established game. Honestly if that was the gameplay I'd be down for it.
